iPad EPOS Case Study

Miss Madeleines or formerly the “Sewing Room” is a Gift Emporium Shop Based in the beautiful and busy seaside town of Sheringham, Norfolk. After 30 years the current owners decided it was finally time to retire and hand down the business to their daughter.

Nina, now the current owner, spent  24 years in the corporate banking environment and decided it was time for a change. Nina decided that she wanted to put her own footprint on the shop and “digitalise it”.

Her aim was to be able to run the shop using electronic management information to aid her, along with being able to keep track of her stock and best sellers at the click of a button.

It was time for an upgrade…

Nina knew exactly what she wanted, she just didn’t know how or who was going to help her achieve it.

Miss Madeleines needed a system that was; easy to use, aesthetically pleasing, secure and had the functionality to use bar coded products. Most importantly, Miss Madeleines required a system that could be easily used and understood. The Truepos solution is really easy to use from the iPad interface to the back end allowing quick product changes and updates.

Nina was concerned about security and mobility when it came down to monitoring inventory and measuring stock. Truepos provided its most up-to-date iPad stand. The stand had built-in fingerprint recognition for security purpose along with a clickable release button to turn the iPad in to a portable stock taking unit with a scanner.

With the store regularly busy, another huge requirement was to have a payment system that was quick and integrated directly into the EPOS system. With the old Casio cash register there was no direct integration which slowed down the overall transaction period and brought in the risk of human error. The iPad EPOS solution has made a huge impact on customer service and has sped up the transition period from start to finish.

Miss Madeleines now had a system that met all of their requirements.
